What is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed by a website on your terminal (computer, phone, tablet) during your visit. It allows the website to recognize your browser and, depending on its purpose, to remember information relating to your session or preferences.
The same logic applies to similar technologies (local storage, session storage, technical identifiers), grouped in this policy under the generic term "trackers."
Consent Requirements
In application of Article 82 of the Data Protection and Digital Freedoms Law and CNIL guidelines, two regimes coexist:
- Cookies strictly necessary for service operation (session, anti-CSRF token) are exempt from consent. Without them, the service could not function.
- The persistent login cookie ("Stay logged in") is set only if you explicitly enable it at login time. Your choice is retained for the duration of the cookie and can be revoked at any time from your personal space or by deleting the cookie from your browser.
In the absence of trackers requiring prior consent (analysis, advertising, etc.), Éphémère displays no cookie banner. This configuration will be reassessed if new trackers are introduced.
Browser Settings
You may configure your browser at any time to block or delete cookies placed on your terminal. Your browser's help menu (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) provides information on available settings.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent proper service operation, particularly authentication and protection against CSRF attacks.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the service or applicable regulatory framework. The date of last update is shown at the top of this page.
Any introduction of a new tracker requiring consent will result in implementation of a consent collection mechanism compliant with CNIL requirements.
