FACEBOOK DATA DELETION

This page is published in application of the Meta Platform Terms applicable to applications using Facebook authentication. It describes the data received from Facebook when a user authenticates through this provider, and the procedure for obtaining its deletion.

Last updated: May 8, 2026

Data in Scope

When you log in to Éphémère via Facebook, we receive exclusively the following elements, on the basis of the OAuth scope email:

  • Your Facebook identifier (facebookId), necessary to recognize your account on subsequent logins.
  • Your email address associated with your Facebook account, used to create or match an Éphémère account.

No other information (posts, friends list, photos, extended profile) is requested or stored.

Deletion Request Procedure

Pending implementation of an automated access point, deletion of data received from Facebook is performed by manual request sent to privacy@ephemere.org.

We commit to processing your request within a maximum of thirty days from receipt, in accordance with Article 12(3) GDPR. Written confirmation of deletion will be sent to you upon completion of processing.

Steps to Follow

  1. Send an email to privacy@ephemere.org with subject "Facebook Data Deletion".
  2. Provide the email address associated with your Éphémère account so we can identify the relevant record.
  3. Where applicable, respond to the identity confirmation request we send you, in accordance with Article 12(6) GDPR.
  4. Your account and all data associated with Facebook authentication will be deleted within thirty days, and confirmation will be sent to you.

You may also revoke Éphémère's access from your Facebook account settings, in the Apps and Websites section. This revocation stops future logins but does not, by itself, delete data already recorded with us: the procedure above remains necessary.
